On many fountain pen ink reviews you’ll see splatters of ink on a page. This shows the sheen/ shimmer of the ink, as well as shading and depth. Turns out there’s more to it than just dumping ink on the page; there’s a technique for applying the ink to the paper using a minimum amount of ink while still showing all the characteristics of the ink.
See how it’s done in Goulet Pens’ video below! (We were very proud to see them demonstrate using Herbin Emeraude de Chivor and Caroube de Chypre inks on Rhodia paper!)
