Time management Monday: How to use your paper planner along with your electronic calendar app

Post Comment

We’ve had several posts on this topic recently, asking people if they use an electronic calendar app along with their paper planner and how to use more than one planner at the same time. We had a lot of great replies to those posts with people saying how they use their paper planner along with their electronic calendar app.

Here are some examples:

Many people use their electronic calendar app for planning, and use their paper planner to plan only the week ahead in their planner or bullet journal, or to create a record from the previous week.

Some people do their scheduling electronically and use their paper planner to map out their goals, write their daily intentions, evaluate their weeks, and plan their months.

Lots of people use their calendar app for recurring events (daily, weekly, monthly and/ or annually) and use their paper planner for day to day planning.

Other people use their online calendar for shared scheduling for work or family, and their paper planner for their personal planning.

Many people do their planning in their paper planner, and use their calendar app for the alarms and reminders for appointments and events.

Other people use their paper planner for scheduling and use an app on their phone for to do lists.

Do you use your paper planner along with your calendar app in a different way from those listed above? How does it work for you?

  1. You already listed my method! I primarily use my digital calendars for events, appointments, classes because I like to set up the reminders for when I need to leave, etc. I like to use my paper planner for my daily tasks, or to make general plans on what I want to do by when for bigger projects.
