Continuing our series on daily journaling prompts, here is a list of journaling topics for every day in March! This gives everyone some new ideas for journaling, and can help take the pressure off to think of something to journal about every day, especially for folks doing our Page Per Day Challenge.
This month’s themes are change and luck!
1: What do you want to do this month? Write your goals for the month, and think about what you need to do to accomplish them.
2: What are you excited about in the coming month?
3: List 5 things you are frustrated about. Why are you frustrated about these things? What can you do about them? How can you adjust your mindset to be less frustrated?
4: List 5 things that are going well right now.
5: List 5 things you are looking forward to. Why are you looking forward to these?
6: The seasons are starting to change now. How do you feel about change in general? Do you like it? Is it exciting? Do you resist change? Why?
7: List 5 things you want to change about yourself, your surroundings, your relationships, or your life situation. Why do you want to change these?
8: For each of the things you wrote about yesterday that you want to change, list one thing you can do this week to start toward that change.
9: Now for each of the things you want to change, list 5 more steps to help you accomplish those changes.
10: List 5 things you should change but are resisting. Why are you resisting these changes?
11: List 5 changes that happened in your life that you liked/ enjoyed. What did you like about these changes?
12: Daylight Savings Time begins in the USA and parts of Canada. Do you like the darker mornings and longer evenings? Or do you prefer it to get light earlier in the morning and get dark earlier in the evenings?
13: How has your life changed in the past 5 years? In the past 10 years? What is different now than it was then? What has improved?
14: Thinking some more about how your life has changed in the past 5 and 10 years: what didn’t turn out the way you expected or hoped it would? Why not?
15: Mid-month review! How are your goals coming along? What can you accomplish in the remainder of this month?
16: How have your friendships changed over the last 5 or 10 years? Who are you friends with now that you weren’t then? Who were you friends with then that you aren’t now? Why?
17: Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Do you believe in luck? Why or why not?
18: “I think we consider too much the good luck of the early bird and not enough the bad luck of the early worm.” Franklin D. Roosevelt What does this quote mean to you?
19: They say luck favors the prepared. What are some ways you could be more prepared in your life to create your own luck?
20: Today is Equinox, where there are 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark in the northern and southern hemispheres. If you are in the north and your days are getting longer, how will you spend your extra hours of daylight in the upcoming weeks? If you are in the south and your days are getting shorter, what will you do to adjust to the shorter days?
21: What were some times in your life when you were “lucky?” Looking back now, do you think it was actually luck/ chance? What were some contributing factors that led to your luck?
22: If someone had never heard of “luck,” how would you explain it to them? What does being lucky mean to you?
23: “What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?” Robert Schuller What is holding you back from attempting your dreams?
24: What was the biggest failure you ever experienced? What caused you to fail? Why did you view it as a failure?
25: What was a time you thought you would fail but you succeeded?
26: Clocks change in the UK and Europe. How does the time change affect you?
27: What are your biggest successes in life?
28: At the end of your life, what would you like to be able to list as your biggest successes?
29: Look ahead to next month: what events do you need to prepare for?
30: What good things happened this month? What were your favorite moments this month?
31: Month review! How did this month go? Which goals did you complete? What do you still need to work on?
