Karen Doherty Karen Doherty is head of marketing for Quo Vadis in the US. She has used Quo Vadis or Exacompta planners for over 25 years. She refuses to make the switch from paper to computer calendars or digital. She just keeps using her paper planner, because it faster and easier to use and change than “the other stuff.” It amuses her to wait for her wife to catch up on her Blackberry…
Outside of work she keeps busy as Vice Chair of the East End Seaport Museum in Greenport, NY, where she also runs their lighthouse trips and cruises. She is very interested in legends and lore of the sea, including mermaids, sea serpents and selkies.
The history of the area also has a personal connection – her great-grandfather, a Norwegian immigrant named Karl Andersen, helped John Holland build the first submarine at New Suffolk over a century ago.Karen and her kayak, Blue Duck, love to go out for a paddle at dawn in Hallock’s Bay.
