At the moment we're not sure whether to switch the RLH planners over to ivory paper or not -- I imagine that depends on what's most popular with our customers. I'll put a poll up on the blog later on this week to give people a chance to weigh in...

Leah--

Are the Quo Vadis Robert Le Heros journals switching to the ivory paper, as well, or will they stay the bright white paper? Just checking out my options!

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your answers, Leah! I will be stocking up on the white paper Habanas--thanks for the tip!

I've seen the Mignon and Chelsea covers, and they are beautiful, but they don't appear to have any type of closure mechanism. I prefer notebooks/journals to have some sort of fastener or elastic closure so they don't open in my bag--the pages get crumpled that way.

Thanks again for your amazing responsiveness!

Ok, got some more answers here... Unfortunately, we won't be manufacturing both white and ivory paper Habanas at the same time. We'll sell the current stock of (U.S. made) white paper Habanas until we receive the ivory from France -- probably late fall. So if you prefer the white paper version, you should stock up on it now at The Daily Planner (thedailyplanner.com).

Also, as I suspected, real leather notebook covers are indeed quite expensive. If you're still interested, check out the Mignon and Chelsea leather covers on the QV website (www.quovadisplanners.com). There are a couple of retailers that carry journals in those covers, but keep in mind they may cost upwards of $100 since the covers are hand-made from full-hide Italian leather.

Thanks for the suggestions, Ellie -- I'll pass them along to Karen and we'll see what we can do to bring Habanas to the Chicago area.

Kookychick, I'm not sure what the answer to your question about white/ivory paper is, but I'll try to find out. As for different covers and patterns, we're currently looking into a couple of options (including laser engraved covers), but at the moment everything's still in the very early planning stages.

I suspect a real leather cover might make the notebook prohibitively expensive, alas, but I'll pass the suggestion on to our team...

Will the Habanas come in a choice of white or ivory paper, or will they all switch to the ivory paper this fall? I love the white Clairefontaine paper, and would be very sad to see it disappear from this notebook.

I'd also love to see the cover come in different colors, like blue or green! Or different patterns/designs. I know there are the Le Heros versions, but it'd be nice to have more colorful options! A real leather cover option would also be really nice. :-)

Paper Boy may be a good store to call and see if they would like to carry them. There's also Paper Source with a bunch of Chicago area locations.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to locate any stores in Chicago that have ordered Habana notebooks. I will say, however, that the Daily Planner has a very good return policy if you'd like to place an online order.
